My Approach to therapy
If you are seeking therapeutic support to overcome difficulties and challenges, counselling is a great way to explore your situation, in a safe and non-judgmental space. My main values are integrity, compassion and wholeness, as demonstrated below.
I have trained in multiple forms of therapy and I continue to develop my practice and self-awareness through training courses, supervision, walks, meditation, swimming in the sea and dancing.
Within our therapeutic relationship you will not be alone with your suffering, as I aim to understand how you’re feeling and what you’ve experienced through empathy and without judgement.
Finally I will bring my whole self into the counselling room, and I will regard all aspects of you and what you bring as important.
I offer counselling in Hull, South Cave, online and over the telephone

Person-centered counselling
Person centred counselling means I work with empathy and compassion to try and gain a deeper understanding of how you're feeling and what you're experiencing, in a non-judgemental capacity. It is a relational approach where our therapeutic relationship is important, and as I will be showing up and offering consistence throughout our sessions, I hope we can together build a trusting relationship so that exploring your deeper feelings and your needs feels safe for you.
Eco-therapy
Eco-therapy is a form of therapy based on the idea that we are intrinsically connected to the earth and nature. This connection can help us find balance and calm, benefiting our mental health and aiding recovery from mental illness. As a qualified person-centred counsellor, eco-therapy sessions can be an opportunity to explore your connection to nature, and provide a holding space for you to explore any issues in your life, alongside myself and nature as a guide, facilitator and teacher. I also offer walk and talk therapy.
Interpersonal psychotherapy
Interpersonal psychotherapy is a proactive and more directive approach, exploring our relationships with others, and the importance they have on our lives. Often good relationships are the bedrock of us feeling safe and supported, and when they breakdown it can affect us in a profound way. We can explore grief, transition/ change of roles, conflict or sensitives in relationships in general.
Group Sessions
I offer group eco-therapy workshops for up to 10 participants. If you’re looking for a personalised workshop for more than that, please contact me to discuss. I offer a range of invitations, exercises and meditations to facilitate a sense of groundedness, relationship building, presence, self-awareness and compassion. This can include sensory walks, creative exercises, silence, reflective exercises, partner work and more.
